Whether you’re excited to start a Pledge fundraiser, organize a gift-card party, or explore other creative ways to support Bates Mission, you’ve come to the right place. This is a great way to support us on special days like Giving Tuesday or to simply use your birthday to raise awareness about what we do. This page provides clear, step-by-step guides and answers to your most common questions, helping you effortlessly contribute to our mission of empowering young adults aging out of foster care in Texas. 1. How do I create a Pledge fundraiser?
Start a Pledge fundraiser today and effortlessly support Bates Mission by sharing your campaign on social media, using text-to-donate, and engaging your community in just a few simple steps! The funds will be transferred directly to Bates Mission once your fundraiser is over.
STEP 1
- Sign up for a free account at Pledge: https://www.pledge.to/signinup
- From your new Dashboard, select “Fundraisers” in the left-hand column.
STEP 2
- Choose “AI-Assisted Fundraiser Page” or “Donation Form” (either works!).
- Search for “Bates Mission” as the nonprofit to support.
- Fill out the rest of the content for your fundraiser.

STEP 3
- Publish your fundraising page or donation form.
- Share with friends and family and on social media.
- Tag us on social media so we can help share it too!
2. What kind of gift cards do you need?
We always need gift cards for our Sheila’s Supply Closet and Gifts and Celebrations programs! Whether it’s grocery gift cards in our birthday cake kits, gift card booklets, or cards we can use to purchase housewarming supplies, this is a super simple way to support Bates Mission. You can collect these on our own or host a happy hour or party and ask your guests to bring cards to donate.

3. Can I hold other kinds of fundraisers?
Absolutely! Would you like to host a bake sale to support Bates Mission? Or donate the proceeds from a community garage sale? If you have money to donate to us, you can mail checks payable to “Bates Mission” to our office at 1904 S. Bagdad Road, #2, Leander, TX 78641. If you’d like to send it to us electronically, please just email us at info@batesmission.org so we can figure out the best way to receive your donation.
